Vannier-Photelec History
A small resume of our historyIn 1886, Mr. VANNIER created the company called " Etablissements VANNIER " specialised in fine Industrial sheet metal.
The company was then transformed into an Ltd in 1946, enlarging its skills, with the help of one engineer who brought a new opto-mechanic activity, and afterwards a start into the photographics devices manufacturing while buying PHOTELEC.
In 1966, Mr. Christian LEROY bought VANNIER-PHOTELEC and devoted his time in developping new activities:
- creation of departement " High speed video cameras " and derivates
- development, manufacturing and sales of pre printing equipments for the photographic issues
- creation of departement "Development & Manufacturing Special Systems" dealing with photographic technics, optics, mechanics and software

In 2003, Mr. Bernard ROUX acquires VANNIER-PHOTELEC and defines the new company vision, deciding to extend the activities around the optical applications:
- creation of an extended network in Europe and US for non-contact measurements and controls: VISIOLASER
- integration of KINOPTIK Paris, which becomes KINOPTIK Systèmes for professional photos/movies optical equipments together with special optical systems.
